The Motorcycle Riders Association of Australia was founded in Melbourne in May, 1978 as a non-profit, volunteer organisation working in the interests of it's Victorian members. From 2004 to 2009 there were motions to consolidate and rename as the Victorian Branch so at the 2010 AGM the name changed to MRA(Vic).The MRA(Vic) offers support to all Australian motorcyclists from social, sporting and interested clubs to any motorcycle related organsations. The MRA(Vic) is also a member of the Australian Motorcycle Council. More ..

Mean machine ... the Izh 2012 concept motorbike, light on materials, heavy on safety

The makers of what has been described as the “world’s greatest weapon”, the Russian Kalashnikov machine gun, were also pretty handy at constructing motorbikes, selling around 11 million of them since their formation in 1927. For many years, this Soviet motorbike factory ran second only to Japan in production numbers.

The outspoken Catholic priest said while he had not been approached by the Comancheros, he was keen to bless their new clubhouse in Thistlethwaite St.

"I saw it in the newspaper last week and I said I should go and make them an offer,’’ he said.

AUSSIE motorbike stunt rider Robbie Maddison has told how his world-record-breaking jump last night almost cost him his life.

Maddison jumped 107.29m, smashing his previous record of 98.14m set in Las Vegas on New Year's Eve.

After his successful jump at Calder Park Raceway, the daredevil said the cold night air almost destroyed his chances of climbing into the world record books again.

Bosch has recently developed a new generation antilock braking system (ABS) for motorcycles which has the potential to prevent 38 per cent of motorcycle accidents involving personal injury and 48 per cent of those leading to fatalities, according to a study published by the Swedish highways authority. Further, a study published by the German Federal Highway Research Institute (BASt) concludes that fatality rates would be reduced by 12 per cent if all motorcycles were equipped with ABS.

Rent increases don’t affect Ian Pettet whose home is wherever his motor bike and his cross-bred terrier mate, Oscar happen to be.

At first glance, Bill Dube's drag racing motorcycle looks like any other: low to the ground, huge rear wheel, a shiny paint job.
