Brammo’s new Empulse electric motorcycle is impressive in a few ways. It’s an affordable vehicle, ranging between $10,000 and $14,000 in price. Every model has a top speed of 100mph, with a totally respectable amount of horsepower and torque. And the Empulse, the older brother of the Enertia, can run for up to 100 miles on a single charge–on average. Keep in on a low speed, as in city driving, and you could hit 130 miles.

PREMIER John Brumby denies police were pressured to issue dodgy speed camera fines and protect revenue.

Speaking this morning at Melbourne Airport, Mr Brumby said: "It's never, ever been about revenue."

"In relation to the Western Ring Road, that was never about revenue either," he said.

"It was about different legal advice about whether it was appropriate in all the circumstances to refund the money, and what signal that might send to the community."

It's an excellent idea - a rider's vision and situational awareness are huge components of road safety. The more you know about what's happening around and behind you, the more options you've got in an emergency or a simple lane change situation. Well, it's been a long road to the market, but Reevu has finally announced that its RV MSX1 helmet has passed European standards testing, and is now available for distribution.
