The name 4B's stands for Bent & Buckled Bikies Bureau, with the idea being to offer injured riders support during their stays in hospital. This is a side of motorcycling often ignored, but the 4B's, with regular visits, distribution of magazines and friendly support, try to make it as easy as possible.

Police will charge Victorian motorists who test positive to ecstasy in a world-first crackdown on drug-driving From Friday, police will use new technology to prosecute drivers using the designer drug. Ecstasy is included under new legislation ramping up penalties for drug drivers.
First-time offenders face fines up to $1300 and a six-month driving ban.

The Norwgian Government has Joined the Dutch Government in banning Wire Rope Barriers, due to the safety concerns for Motorcyclists.
Meanwhile we have clowns in parliament saying this..
On Friday 4th August the Norwegian Minister of Transport, Mrs. Liv Signe Navarsete, announced a ban on the use of cable barriers. She did so after years of lobbying by FEMA´s member organisation, the Norwegian Motorcycle Union (NMCU). “Finally, we see an end to the egg slicers”, said NMCU chairman Jan-Fredrik Moller.

Australian Motorcyclists are being prohibited from carrying passengers under eight years old.
Under the Australian Road Rules, motorcyclists may no longer carry pillion passengers under eight years old. It is now proposed that children under eight may not be carried in sidecars.

VICTORIA has secured the annual Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix at Phillip Island for the next five years. Premier Steve Bracks said the annual race was a boost to tourism and jobs. "It is a significant regional event which attracts international attention," Mr Bracks told Southern Cross Radio.

ROUND 1000 motorcyclists and their machines converged on Parliament House today demanding the State Government scrap massive price hikes in licence fees. The SA Motorcycle Riders Association says the almost triple price increase in the compulsory Rider Safe program would force young unlicensed riders onto the road. "Young people are overrepresented in crash rates,'' MRA spokesman Peter Mount told the rally.

Police want residents of Oxford's Barton estate to help them catch the youngsters who are wreaking mini-motorbike mayhem.
The appeal follows a Government announcement that reckless mini-motorbike riders who disrupt and damage communities could receive points on their licence, be banned from driving, fined or even have their vehicles crushed.

NSW police plan a $750,000 blitz on speeding on the Pacific Highway after a weekend in which they maintain motorcyclists turned the road it into a ``race track''
In one instance police had to give up pursuit of three bike riders after they hit speeds of 250km/h.

Wednesday, 02 August 2006 Motorcycle riders have told an inquiry into reducing road deaths that smaller, less powerful engines are not the answer The QLD Parliamentary Travelsafe Committee's inquiry program has received 53 submissions with groups including the Ulysses mature-aged rider club, Motorcycle Riders Association of Queensland and Q-Ride trainers rejecting engine restriction.
