2015 Continuing the legacy of the Melbourne Toyrun from its humble inception in 1978 the Victorian Motorcycle Council proudly announced TABCORP PARK in Melton as the new destination venue for the annual Traditional Melbourne Toy Run. The state-of-the-art events facility will allow the Toy Run and its charitable contribution to the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal to grow, with a view to ultimately becoming a State level event. The 38th Traditional Melbourne Toy Run was held on Sunday 20th December 2015. Again partnering with Classic and Hot Rod car clubs, the event was a huge family friendly spectacle for all motoring enthusiasts and will feature car and bike displays, show and shine competitions, a large variety of trade stalls and of course food and entertainment. Rob Salvatore, Victorian Motorcycle Council Chair said “This welcomed partnership with Tabcorp Park ensures a bright future for the Toy Run and for the all-important charitable tradition at its heart. Riders have a rich history of giving at Christmas time and this partnership only encourages that legacy to grow.” Shane Gloury, Tabcorp Park CEO said “Tabcorp Park is delighted to be involved and a part of the 2015 Traditional Melbourne Toy Run. An estimated 8,000 bikes entering Tabcorp Park promises to be a must see event for the local Community.” He went on to say “The Toy Run is an iconic event on the annual Calendar and plays a huge role each Christmas in putting a smile on the faces of kids in need as part of the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal. We look forward to working with the Victorian Motorcycle Council and the Organisers to make the 2015 Melbourne Toy Run the biggest and best ever.” 81 images Back to parent gallery
